About your CLC

I always knew I wanted to help others, but it took becoming a mother to understand where my true passion lay.

I graduated in 2007 from Kent State University in Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. From there I moved around the country from coast to coast and explored many career fields (none of them psychology related, of course!). After meeting my husband and having our son, Aris, in 2019, my eyes were opened to the experiences of new parenthood.

Jamie White, Certified Lactation Counselor

I was passionate about breastfeeding, but I struggled and had so many questions – it turns out I wasn’t as prepared as I thought! I quickly realized how important it is to support our new moms and parents as they start out into the uncharted territory of raising a baby! We moved to Bozeman, MT for new opportunities and after Aris turned a year old, I committed to becoming a Lactation Consultant. I became certified in 2020 by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice and started my own private practice.

Birth classes, breastfeeding classes, baby boot camp training, 2 days in labor, a change in my birth plan (give me meds!), a retained placenta, lactation consultants, post partum depression/anxiety, moving across the country to Montana, more lactation consultants, infant potty training, sleep coaches and sleep training…been there, done that!

I love learning about lactation! (You wouldn’t believe how many different types of nipples there are!). I am constantly reading articles & researching new studies about breastfeeding and baby nourishment in general. I want to offer the best options for your specific situation and talk with you about your goals and expectations. I want to support you on an emotional level while providing the tools and knowledge for you to achieve success on your own. I believe breastfeeding is so important, but I understand how many obstacles prevent us all from having that ‘perfect experience’ – sometimes supplementation is needed or bottle feeding just makes sense in your situation. Please contact me and get the help you need!
