What to expect during your visit
How can a CLC help me?
My number one priority is to help you and your baby – as each mother/baby pair is unique! We can have a quick chat over the phone to identify your pressing concerns and follow up with an in-home visit and full breastfeeding assessment at your convenience. Appointments usually last 1-2 hours so a full feeding can be evaluated. We can weigh your baby before/after feeding to ensure proper milk transfer and during this time you can ask me as many questions as you like! Write them down so you don’t forget! I will leave you with a summary of what we discussed and follow up a few days later to check in on your progress and answer any remaining questions.
As a CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor), I can assist and help with the following:
- Milk supply issues (Low or Oversupply)
- Latch assessment for improving adequate milk transfer
- Nipple pain or soreness
- Breastmilk storage & handling
- Pumping or milk expression
- Going back to work while breastfeeding
- Breastfeeding positions
- Plugged ducts, Engorgement, Mastitis
- Tongue or Lip ties
- Breastfeeding multiples
- Diet while Breastfeeding
- Weaning
